Defend every layer, not just the front door.
OpenFortSec helps people and organisations understand today's cyber threats and build practical, lasting defences, in plain language.
Common cyber threats and what's at stake
Most attacks rely on a handful of well-known tricks. Here is what each one is, and the damage it can do to individuals, companies and organisations.
If you think you've been attacked
Contain it
Disconnect the affected device from the network, but don't switch it off or delete anything.
Secure accounts
From a different, clean device, change your passwords, starting with email.
Tell someone
Alert your IT team or provider straight away. If money was sent, call your bank immediately.
Write it down
Note what you clicked or entered and when. These details help responders act faster.
Check a password in your browser
This tool runs entirely on your device. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
Tip: a passphrase of four or more random words is stronger and easier to remember than a short, complex password.
Our approach
OpenFortSec is a young, focused team, and we believe good security starts with clear thinking rather than complicated process. We take the time to understand your situation, keep our methods straightforward, and explain our advice in plain language, so you always know where you stand and what to do next.
Understand
Every organisation is different. We begin by learning what you do, how you work and which information, systems and people matter most, so our attention goes where it will make the biggest difference.
Assess
We examine how your systems and people could realistically be targeted, thinking the way an attacker would, within boundaries agreed beforehand so there are no surprises.
Advise
We explain what we find in clear, practical terms, without unnecessary jargon. The focus is on the issues that matter most, so you can decide where to spend your time and budget.
Improve
Security is an ongoing effort rather than a one-off task. We help you act on what we found and check back afterwards to confirm that the changes have worked as intended.
